There was a bug in the auto-promoter, in that it relied on hard-coded path names to some binaries, one of which changed when I moved my server from my Mac Mini to a Debian VPS. End result is that it was detecting everyone as having gone on no raids, which meant it didn't feel like you needed to be promoted. It's been fixed and promotions have been brought up to date.

so basically it's the mac's fault that this happened...

makes sense. conclusion: don't get a mac.

No, it's the fault that BSD and Linux don't agree about what should go in /bin vs /usr/bin.

Hey, don't even think of hating on BSD. ^.- Apple's the only people I know who can take a rock-solid operating system core and make it... the sheer mess and crap that OS X is. razz
